A long time resident of Brevard and a homesteader in Pisgah Forest, Erin has spent 20 years of service to the people of the county and region, especially those in the special needs community. Often working with young people, she grew into a natural for Meals On Wheels volunteering as a MOW driver, much like her mother before her.  Her focus, patience and large vision of service inspires all who serve with MOW.

Our Board

  • Tish Whiting, President

Delivering Meals on Wheels is a way for me to pay it forward… delivering a warm meal, a caring smile and a safety check all in one visit.

  • Katie Flanagan, Vice President

The heart of a volunteer is not measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.

  • Darryl Otto, Treasurer

Serving on the MOW Board gives me a wonderful chance to help the Team make a positive difference in our Brevard community. But delivering meals and connecting first-hand with our Clients is a true privilege.

  • Robin Parker, Secretary

I love delivering for MOW! It’s such a great way to help others and meet lots of people.

  • Spalding McIntosh

It’s an honor to work with Meals on Wheels and serve this community. I believe volunteerism is an integral part of our society. One of my main goals is to help teach younger generations the value of volunteering one’s time for the greater good.

  • Rick Thomas

I joined Meals On Wheels to give food and a friendly face to our clients.

  • Susan DeKeyser

I joined Meals on Wheels to give back to our community seniors. It’s heartwarming to see a smile as we hand over a warm meal. Many seniors have too much isolation and any amount of human contact is critical.
